OUR STAINS & FINISHES
The finish you choose for your furniture or homeware will depend on the look and feel you want in your home.
A lot of our happy customers enjoy allowing the natural colours and beauty of the wood to shine. In these cases we will just apply a clear finish in either matte or gloss, to protect your new furniture.
However, there are some very popular coloured stains that can be applied to create different looks, depending on the timber used for your item.
They can really add some depth and warmth to your finished piece or create an entirely different look than the natural timber alone.
It all depends on what you want.
We are happy to help. We use your ideas and our knowledge and skills to create the perfect furniture for you!
MOST POPULAR STAINS & FINISHES
POLYURETHANE
This is our preferred method of sealing all our wooden creations. The results that we get with polyurethane are silky smooth and professional and you have the option of either a gloss or satin finish. Feast Watson are our company of choice as they offer the best range of durable sleek finishes.
RAW TIMBER / NO FINISH
Over the last few years, we have noticed a trend in our customers requesting raw timber items.
Raw wood is naturally lighter than sealed timber, as no product has been added to seal it. Whilst beautiful, this leaves the item unprotected, so we do not recommend this for some items. For instance, an unsealed dining table or bathroom vanity, would be covered in ring marks and watermarks instantly. We would instead suggest an oil-based finish as an alternative.
